Where it began

Kanoochoo began with a curiosity for objects. Not simply for how they looked, but for the history they carried, the way they were made, and the lives they had already been part of.

What started through commercial art and interior projects gradually evolved into restoration, where the process of preserving older pieces became just as meaningful as finding them.

What we believe in

We believe objects should not lose their character in the process of restoration. The marks, textures, faded finishes, and irregularities developed over time are not flaws to remove, but details worth preserving.

Every piece is approached with restraint and care, allowing it to continue into a new space without losing what made it meaningful in the first place.

Sourced. Restored. Continued.

Every piece that enters Kanoochoo goes through a careful process of sourcing, restoration, and handling. Some are discovered during travels and collections, while others arrive through years of relationships built around restoration and craft.

The process may involve structural repair, surface restoration, polishing, or preservation, depending on what the piece requires. The goal is never to make it feel new, but to make sure it continues to live well.

Beyond collected pieces

Alongside restored artifacts and furniture, Kanoochoo also works on custom production pieces inspired by traditional forms and materials. These are developed with the same attention to proportion, craftsmanship, and longevity that define the rest of the collection.

An evolving collection

Today, Knoonchoo continues to evolve through sourcing, restoration, and the creation of thoughtfully produced pieces that carry a strong sense of material and time. Alongside antiques and revived originals, our collection also includes newly crafted products designed with the same commitment to craftsmanship, character, and enduring aesthetics. Whether historic or contemporary, every piece is chosen for the presence it brings into a space.
